I bagained with life for a penny, but it would have paid any price

I bargain with life for a penny.
And life would pay no more
However I begged at evening
When I counted my scanty store.

For life is a just employer
He gives you what you ask.
But once you have set the wages,
Why you must bear the task.

I worked for a menial’s hire.
Only to learn dismayed,
That any wage I had asked of life
Life would have willingly paid.

Not sure where it comes from, found it from Think and Grow Rich.
But once fully believed and understood, it is the kind of thing that will kick you ass to grow.
You are what you ask and you have what you ask.

If you find you don't grow anymore, it is just because you got what you asked...
The question is : what's next ?
